Untitled (Poem)
I see your storm, far and wide.
Drops of rain and fear collide.
And if that lightning ever arcs
I’ll be that candle in the dark.
The moonlight’s gone, engulfed in clouds
The songs of wind all play too loud
The light of candles are all that remain.
I’ll be the glow inside that flame.
-
The seas arise, flow with force
They rock your boat with no remorse
But don’t you fear, oh don’t you frown
I wont let your good love drown.
-
I see your storm, its ours to share
Fear and rain descend from the air.
The night provides no helpful hue
Just the tides in vicious blue.
The thunder laughs at us once more
Telling us to give up on finding shore
But I row past wave after wave.
I wont rest until you’re safe.
-
For I know you’re fatigued and awfully scarred
but I know land is not too far
So don’t you fear, oh don’t you frown.
I wont let your good love drown.
-
Never let your good love drown
Oh no I wont let them bring you down.
